The CLI (Command line interface) is the foundation. Everything else is
built on top, so to speak. Like a house, most people are interesting in
using the house, not crawling under it to look at the foundations.
Not so long ago, Linux was mostly foundation, and not mouch house.
That's where we have come from. Now, there is so much "house", that
the foundation need no longer (and perhaps rightly so in many cases)
be visible.
Hmmm. Now that I've typed this far, I can't remember the point I was
trying to make...
