I have set up mailman. its a piece of piss, and I will teach this if you
like when things have calmed down after the installfest. It is python
based, but you don't need to know python. It has a web interface for
people to join and adjust their options, and automatically generates
archives. The administrator also uses a web interface.

I run two very small lists. clug-c is for the clug committee, to stop
fouling up this list with committee chatter, and lyttlug, the Lyttelton
Linux Users Group. Currently two subscribers, Chris Bayley & myself. It
was a tester when I first set it up.

What mta do you use at the OSTC?

I see there are other email oriented classes too? maybe make a series

basic email setup
web mail
sorting/filtering
spam & virii
mailing lists.
