DDD Debugger Problem

hi, i was wondering if any canterbury cosc students running redhat 8.0 on 
their home comps have had difficulty (like me) getting the ddd debugger to 
run? when i try to open a file in ddd, i always get a message stating: 
~cwd/init.c no file or directory.  has anyone experienced & overcome this 
problem. if anyone knows of a solution or has any tips i would be very 
grateful to hear from u (i've looked on the web but haven't been able to get 
any specific info on this)
