hi dale my comp is pretty old (266MHz/156MB RAM) but it usually runs fine - glxgears runs ok; sometimes a little slow to respond. i think the problem is something minor, perhaps i need to alter my .bashrc file, set a path or use a different command line option or something??
for example when i enter the following command at the terminal gcc lab.c -lGL -lGLU -lglut -lm -o lab; lab i get output: bash: lab: command not found i have been using gcc without problems for a few months now i would really appreciate any advice you could give me thanx, sam >===== Original Message From [EMAIL PROTECTED] ===== >Hi Sam > >Ok thats cool I thought you might have been trying to get NWN or something >running , I was just going to mention getting hardware acceleration setup might >have been an idea :) > >The mesa libs are installed by default with xfree on most distro as far as I >know so if you have opengl workingon your box it should be all go ..... > >To set it up we need to know what sort of hardware etc your running , does the >likes of glxgears work at the moment , if not what are the errors ?? > >Cheers >Dale. > >Quoting stm23 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > >> hi dale >> i'm trying to get basic applications (written in C, for 2nd year uni >> labs) to >> run. >> >> >===== Original Message From [EMAIL PROTECTED] ===== >> >HI Sam >> > >> >Mesa is installed with Xfree by default ....it is basically software >> opengl >> >..are you trying to get opengl apps running or looking at using it for >> dev >> work ??? >> > >> >Cheers >> >Dale. >> > >> >Quoting stm23 <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: >> > >> >> hi >> >> i would like to get Mesa running on my home pc under redhat 8.0. i >> have >> >> read >> >> that it is contained on one of the redhat CD's that i got burned >> from >> >> the >> >> university. i would really apprecate it someone could tell we where >> i >> >> can >> >> find it and how i can go about installing it >> >> thanx, sam >> >> >> >> >> >>
