I still havent seen fun stuff like E17 in debians list either as yet ...maybe 
im not looking hard enough .......

Thats the other beauty of Gentoo with stuff that is currently in development 
ie E17 ,it is still a simple command to install it ...all the depedancy 
checking is done automagically and any oddball dependancies for that package 
are installed but in another "slot" so it doesnt break compatablilty  with 
previously installed packages ...so effectivily you can play with highly 
unstable software on you "stable" otherwise desktop without having to worry 
wether youre going to break something in the process ....

But Arnt we missing the point of Linux here "CHOICE" if everybody liked the 
same distro it be bloody boring .
