The key issue as I see it is that the compiling stage takes such a very long time on anything but real fireburning gear. From what I've read, I'm expecting it to take my notebook to be hammering away for several days to get an X environment up and going, but I imagine it's going to take *quite* a long time to get even a minimal CLI setup going - and thats assuming no h'ware problems.
