I think it is better to set up Xfree86 using the correct monitor.

(There are better men than me to answer that though)

I have a Compaq Laptop that I would like to install Gentoo on.  It is an
Athlon-XP 1800 with 128MB RAM.

I also have 7 PC's at the OSTC that you can add to the dist-cc cluster to
help with the compiling.  They are only PII 300's with 64 MB RAM, but every
little bit will help.  Unfortunately only 1 of them has a CD ROM drive, but
if we set that one up and take an image of it we could then put that image
on the rest of them.

I assume once the cluster is set up, the PC's won't need their monitors.
People can then use my 17" monitors on their PC's so they don't have to lug
them up the stairs.

I also have a JetStart (128kbps) connection at the OSTC for downloading any
extra stuff that might be needed.
