I think it might be a good idea to start on a Saturday, because until we've
done it we have no definitive idea how long it's going to take.

For the currently enrolled list, just. Remember that they will need to be
recompensed for the use of the facilities.

This could be very useful if the list of attendees grows.

Thank you.
One of the things that Gentoo can do is to create a set of binary packages
( *.tar.bz2 ) to allow rapid installation into multiple machines.
As we are going to be somewhat creative in the way we do things the
instructions published on www.gentoo.org probably won't be exactly correct.
They will however be a very good starting point.

Yes, possibly at the next CLUG meeting on 30 june?

I have just downloaded the latest one.
Nick, Are there any of the writable CDs left over from the earlier
Installfest?
I also have a Gentoo LiveCD for MAC/PPC if anybody want to have a play with
that. Hamish?

See the other posting from me.

If we do this at the OSTC there are 6 or 7 Pentium MMX/200s we could use,
but only one has a CD drive. Somebody with a brighter mind than mine will
doubtless come up with a solution.

> PC's to be Gentoo'ed
We do need to know what kinds of machines are coming.
the commands:-
cat /proc/cpuinfo
cat /proc/pci
Will provide that info.

I suppose it all depends on whether other list members find our chatter to be
educational & informative, merely useful, or, quelle horreur, a nasty
interruption to their day.
