question.
I am boldy going
(trying) where no newbie should...
Installing
gentoo....
The problem I have
is setting up eth0
I am unsure on what
the correct line for ifconfig should be...
I am on a cable
connection
IP is
202.0.x.x
I want to set up an
internal address of 192.168.1.1
Could someone please
tell me what the correct command for ifconfig should be...
ie.
ifconfig eth0
202.0.x.x broadcast 192.168.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0
or should the IP's
be around the other way?
I tried
both.
