I was wondering whether you could give me some advice on setting up a home network with the following considerations….
1. It is just an experiment
2. Mix of Windows and Linux
What I have quickly mapped out is the following….
Dedicated box for MNF Security
Dedicated box for FTP & Fileserver (linux)
Dedicated box for domain controller
Dedicated box for Apache (PHP)
Dedicated box for IIS (ASP)
1 windows client machine
1 linux client (debian)
What flavours of linux would you suggest for each task?
I was thinking FreeBSD for FTP/Fileserver and Apache, any good?
