It's a cleverly written - and well-written - piece aimed at the general public with a reading age of 12, in the style of a religious convert. I say "well-written" because the author has avoided the pitfalls of true religious enthusiasm, two of which pitfalls are, if I may say so, (1) assuming that everyone knows what is obvious to the writer, and (2) using a "kinda" language which is off-register.

When enthusiasts write, people think "They are really enthusiastic about Linux."
