at the ipcop box type setup

go to networking

network config type - choose green + red (or g+r+orange if you want a
dmz)

address settings, red, choose pptp and give ip an ip address on the
10.0.0.0 subnet (the alcatel is somewhere on that subnet by default,
10.0.0.138 I think)

now go to the web interface on the ipcop box (port 81 or 445/secure). go
to the dialup page. setup a profile with:

interface pptp
computer to modem rate -as fast as possible (not sure if this even
affects it)
persistent connection - yes
connect on ipcop restart - yes
username : don't forget the @isp.co.nz part
password: - speaks for itself
authentication - pap or chap
dns - automatic works for paradise

then go backto the homepage and choose that profile and click "connect".
