I am trying to read some cdrom disks which I believe were created using os/2, I have tried various file formats using Linux to no avail. I seem to remember there are some list members familiar with OS/2 who may be able to help me out.

Are you sure the disks haven't degraded over time? We have some 4-5yr
old CD-Rs which now have unreadable files. Try using dd to copy the entire CD-R to an image file:
dd if=/dec/drom of=foobar.iso
If you get errors, the CD is likely to be stuffed.
