Sorry it might be pedestrian for our old hands, but a newbie must-do.

Perhaps distro comparison of this area would be a more informative session?

Yes, there is an install script which comes with Knoppix. I am not sure about dual booting. Anybody?

We'd have to use a partitioning tool in preparation - RedHat may be up to it, Mandrake is much moreso.
