Gentoo sound problems:-
* xmms sound only works if aRts soundserver is OFF
* mplayer sounds work but are scratchy unless aRts soundserver is
ON
* I do not seem to be able to get audio cd sounds in KsCD even
with the audio cable connected between the DVD Rom drive and the
mobo
