Neh, decided that a clean install was probably a good idea anyway. Took about 3 hours and my laptop is now running Debian, courtesy of Knoppix 3.2 I must admit that the knoppix-install program crapped out badly and I used the old knx-hdinstall instead. I've also repartitioned the drive to have a separate "home" partition - like I should've done in the first place. Vik :v)
