...and neither with gv. This Linux thing sucks ey, but I like it anyway.
Not worth for just a few words, but pdftotext, or pdf2ps |
{pstotext,ps2text} are a possibility, but not noted for their elegance.
Of course, anything will fail if the pdf just contains a bitmap image from
a flatbed scanner.
