Hi CLUG, I have a machine that I swapped a network card in. It's a Red Hat 9 install. kudzu detected the missing card and removed the configuration. kudzu also detected the new card and added the relevant entries in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1
kudzu put the module against the interface in /etc/modules.conf (tg3 module) However, when the machine starts it appears to bring up eth1 but an ifconfig reveals that it is actually down - or missing. I have to modprobe, ifconfig eth1 x.x.x.x, route add 0.0.0.0 ... to get it up and going. Why won't it run at bootup!? Michael. --- [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message generated in webmail.
