Hi, I have spent a while looking at the kde sound docs, and did not quite understand all. So, I thought, lets find an example application.
Google was no help, I found gstreamer, but this is way bigger than I want to have to understand, and does not do simultaneous read/write of the audio device in different streams. Mindyou, I did find the comment, http://www.hack.gr/linux/gazette/issue87/TWDT.html "ARTSD" is a poorly written program and MUST be disabled when you run dual sound cards in your system. Otherwise, you will be reaching for the reset button! I am looking for an application which talks to artsd in KDE. It needs to have at leaset two threads of execution, one thread that reads the audio device one thread that writes to the audio device where both threads are running at the same time.
