Because the list is setting a Reply-To: address, but it will not overwrite a Reply-To header written by a subscribed user. So, when you hit 'reply' on a mail, and it goes to the user, it's because they've explicitly set a Reply-To header.

I have also been bitten by this and it is damned irritating.
I know that there are people who hold the "reply-to munging harmful"
opinion strongly. But setting up their emails so that they are non-standard *on this list* is just a PITA :-P
