For the definitve database:- ftp://elsie.nci.nih.gov/pub/tz{code,data}2003a.tar.gz Take care, extracting the archive does _not_ create a new directory. Notice the updates for Iran from 22 sept this year. Purists will want to recompile the database. From the australasia file it wouild seem that Pacific/Auckland does indeed refer to the Island in the Antartic Ocean. However, note that according to the above data the Pacific/Auckland is currently defined to be the same as NZ. So the entire argument is somewhat moot. For the super interested: See the file tz-link.htm in the above archive, and in particular:- http://www.dia.govt.nz/diawebsite.nsf/wpg_URL/Resource-material-Information-We-Provide-About-Daylight-Saving -- Sincerely etc., Christopher Sawtell
