Therefore, although knoppix is pretty good at hardware detection, don't rely on it to tell you if your modem is gonna work. the LT modem in my gateway is a case in point. the starting point is the scanmodem script, or a simple lspci. HINT if you do lspci -n, you get numeric vendor/device codes. its often possible to search those successfully on google web/google groups to find the appropriate driver. -- Nick Rout <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
