Yes.  Look around for support for waking up the computer from particular
IRQs.  If it's an external modem, you'll need to disable waking from
either IRQ 3 or IRQ 4, depending on which serial port the modem is
attached to.  If it's internal, you'll need to work out which IRQ the
modem is on.  This is probably in the advanced section of the ACPI/Power
Savings menu.  I generally disable waking on any IRQ.

You'll usually see this error when the TCP connection to the website
closes before you receive any data.  This can happen if your Internet
connection is saturated, or the web server at the other end is having
problems.
