In my experience they work under RH7.3 and 9, and I imagine any other
current distro.. hotplug recognises it as a serial device, and sets it
up as ttyS3, then treat it as a standard modem..

Chris, would you please be good enough to post your Gtran initialisation
string?
Also helpful would be an indication of where at the module - or any
other - level one might start looking for differences betw the
functional RH card setup you have, & Debian's here.
I am in correspondence with another CLUG member also trying to run a
Gtran CDMA1X modem.
