I've had a look in my pricing folder but can't find anything.

Why do you want it? An insurance claim?

No. The Avon Toy Library was sold a laptop almost a year ago, that has a noisy fan. We (wife and I) took it into the people who sold it to the ATL (Molten Media - where I picked up the Model M kbd). I mentioned how I thought the laptop was way overpriced and my wife mentioned how it didn't actually suit the needs of the toy library. (This all happened before my wife and I got involved) The sales guy said we got a good deal, and said it would've been worth about $3200. I disagreed, but had no hard data.

It's a cheap-feeling no-name celeron 1.2, 128MB, 20GB, CD-ROM, No FD, WinXP, Onboard Lan, modem, 2x USB etc. Battery life sucks (~1hr)
They sold it for $2600 almost a year ago.

Not having CD-WR or FDD means no easy backup for minutes etc. I've suggested a USB pen-drive, but have no experience.

When (*IF*) I write my wonder-program for toy libraries :-) I'll probably slap Linux on it.

Cheers,
Carl.
