Wait. As Knoppix is mainly testing there is no problem at the moment to add/remove packages. However, once Debian moves on (twelve months) there are some specialised Knoppix packages that will cause problems. Knoppix KDE and OOo are somewhat messy. Mind you, if you are a bit of a geek you should be able to sort these problems out when the time comes, but it won't be a straight apt-get upgrade.
