You may have seen the fires at West Melton on TV yesterday, and know that Yuri lives in the area. The fires were right around his house. I have just spoken to him (I live a couple of kms down the road from him) and can report that he and his family are OK. There is some very minor fire damage to his property but no buildings have been affected. He may not be able to email for a while as the power is a bit dodgy at his house, but the phone is OK.
