I'm back online. Only lost some fences, about a quarter acre of pine trees and about 3-4 acres of asparagus fern (I think the crowns will be fine to produce again next year). I gotta go out and check for hot spots, coz they can flare up again up to four days later. Roots can be smoldering half a meter underground, so I gotta scout the whole land for whiffs of smoke coming up. Kinda exciting watching the choppers with monsoon buckets for the brief moment I was able to sneak home before the cops told me to GTF outa here. Then we were evacuated and had to sleep over with friends in town.
