Ok now we know what domain we're looking at... websnz.com
I've had a look at it in at www.domainwhitepages.com and can see how it's set up at present. I'm left wondering if you understand how dns deligation works. Either you do, and I'm confused, or you don't - in which case I can help with getting that stright first... > I have stopped payment and sent more requests to cancel and release the DNS transfer. Has anyone any ideas on what I can do to sort out the DNS. ...and you didn't tell us who you were transfering to. Ok... I don't know if this will help but I'll make up a little example and perhaps you can fill in some blanks? :) I own the domain bvc.com.au - go to www.domainwhitepages.com and see how it's set up. The following two records show you who the primary and seconday providers are: bvc.com.au IN NS ns1.hostcentral.net.au 3599s (59m 59s) bvc.com.au IN NS ns2.hostcentral.net.au 3599s (59m 59s) The following record shows you where the primary and seconday dns are pointing the site to: bvc.com.au IN A 203.82.180.23 3599s (59m 59s) The following record shows you who owns the IP that my url is pointing to: 23.180.82.203.in-addr.arpa IN PTR tusker.org 86399s (23h 59m 59s) So... Now in engRish... bvc.com.au is hosted on a server owned by tusker.org. However hostcentral.net provide the primary and secondary dns. If I want to move my site to live on a server owned by telecom.co.nz then I can do one of two things... 1. I can ask the people at hostcentral to change the settings in their dns so it points to the new server (telecom.co.nz - 146.171.18.242). or 2. If I don't want to deal with HC as well as tusker.org I can go back to melbourne IT and change the primary and secondary dns providers as well. In your case you have 3 ns providers 1nz4.net, 2nz4.net & one.newzealandwebhosting.com and your site lives on ns1.hostnoc.net (assuming I understood the A record correctly). Are you trying to change the A record deligation only or are you trying to change NS record provider as well? HTH (and doesn't further confuse) If you want someone just to chat to about this you're welcome to give me a call.
