I got mine from a place in Tuahiwi, just past Kaiapoi. Drove out there this morning to pick it up. Volker: yes, it has a telepermit sticker on it (I wasn't going to look too closely, as long as it worked ;-)
IPCop doesn't have the lspci command so I'll have to boot my knoppix disk to find the IRQ and base address for the set-serial commands. Lance: What set-serial commands did you use? Also, does anyone know whereabouts in what config/init/rc/whatever file I should put the relevent set-serial commands on IPCop? Some background info: The reason I wanted a real modem rather than a linmodem is because of IPCop. I know I can find foo-modem-driver-mdk9.1-i686.rpm and that I can also find foo-modem-driver.tar.gz for any linmodem. However the former is distro specific and the latter requires: unzip/untar make config make make install I have no problem with that except afaict ipcop does not have a compiler - at least it *shouldn't*! IMHO no firewall should have a compiler on it - at least that's what the security textbooks say. I just hope IPCop comes with setserial :-) Yuri ----- Original Message Follows ----- > I have one of these - very easy to set-up with a series of > set-serial commands - KNOPPIX does it automatically with > kudzu.
