I used the first I/O number out of three I/O numbers. I then link > ttyS4 to /dev/modem and use /dev/modem in the set serial > line. Well, the IPCop dial-up settings only let me choose: COM1, COM2, COM3 or COM4. Since COM1 - COM4 map to ttyS0 - ttyS3, wouldn't that mean that ttyS4 would require COM5? I wish IPCop dial-up settings would use *nix nomenclature instead of DoS nomenclature to keep things simple, darn it. I even tried disabling the built-in serial & parallel ports to free up irqs. I tried with p'n'p on or off in the bios - no joy either way. Yuri
