This looks an extremely good idea.

It would be absolutely wonderful to have a standard hardware setup to
get newbies/Grandmas going with Linux ala Apple.

It would also make it easier to get computer sales outfits to get
onboard with Linux.

I am having trouble seeing a downside. Definitely worth supporting.
