I think the best way is to have spare space/partitions for your Linux OS so
if you have XP over your whole disc now you may need something like
partition magic to resize it.

IIRC it is best to have Windows installed before Linux when dual booting
(which you already have)

The GUI based installation procedure is fairly straight forward with RedHat.
