Who cares about the food really?!!! :)

The company was great!  I really enjoyed talking geek with a new bunch of
people.

Thanks to Andrew for providing the 'life' ('ride' or 'lift' for those who
missed the joke caused by my sad ass typing last week :)

As for the cost aspect...

I think it's good to have a few events that cost a few more dollars.

If you can't afford to come then say so!  Don't be shy about it...  I know I
wouldn't have minded chipping in a few extra dollars to cover the costs of a
regular contributor on the list who is a bit more stretched at home than I
am.

As a community we have to look after each other!  I know I've been very
guilty of not speaking up in the past when I most needed help - in some
cases it's cost me friends who would have gone out of their way to help :)
