my touchpad, on the gateway 5300, was recognised as a ps/2 mouse. IE it just goes.
no fancy s**t, just movement and two buttons (with third emulated by pressing both at the same time, assuming such dexterity is possible whilst balancing on knee in aeroplane etc) also tapping emulates the left button, handy, but annoying until you get used to it.
