Yes and Kontact does support that. It adds groupware and sync functions to kmail, Korganiser (Calender), Knode(news), Knotes, Kaddress and soon to add kpilot (Pda sync) and Kandy (cellphone sync) modules to the suite. It seems to have all the functions of evolution and a few more.
