The latest edition of the IEEE Software has a large number of papers in
it dealing with open source. Several look like they're very interesting
reading. I glanced over the one below - note the affiliations, and read
Spinellis's bio before gun-jumping. Does anyone agree with my first
impression that several of the disadvantages noted for open source
equally apply to closed source?
