www.westside.bowenvale.co.nz I'm working on a web site for our local church. As you can see it's all based on a Linux/Open Source platform.
My next mission will be to introduce it to the church (yes, you're seeing it before they do). Subject to acceptance from stakeholders, it is my intention to set up a small set of computers at the church for people use. I'd like to set them up on a Linux/Open Source platform running a number of different versions of Linux. I also want to set up some machines running Windows 98/W2K/XP which will dual boot to Linux. Any help that you can offer would be appricated. I have some equipment but any that you would like to loan/donate wouldn't go a miss. The church has a growing IT community. I suspect they're mainly (read 'ALL') MS people. I see this as an opportunity to do a bunch of good things for everyone. Cheers Don Gould About vCard: This message has a 'vCard' attached. It has all my contact details in it. You can create vCards in MS Outlook (I used MS Outlook 2000). If you use Outlook you can drag and drop it direct into your contacts list. If you create and send me a vCard it saves me having to type all your details in to my computer (and making mistakes :). My computer is linked to my second hand Sony PEG-SJ20/G Palm Pilot (which I'd love to upgrade to a Sony P900 PDA/Mobile with a Blue Tooth ear piece). "Your vCard" --> "Outlook 2000" --> "PDA" = Less Time, Less Mistakes, More Productivity! :) Linux & Open Source Users: I belong to the CLUG Mailing List - It took me 10 years to learn to be productive with Outlook - How many installfests do you think it will take to become productive with Linux?
