Well I just want to say WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH LINUX
because I've had 60 messages into my mailbox already today and if you want to be on a list that gets 200 messages a day good for you because I don't.
Get yourself a threaded mail client, and filter all messages to each group you subscribe to. Then your 60 messages fom CLUG all go into your own CLUG folder, and into a nice threading structure so you know who replied to whom.
With Mozilla mail you can ignore whole threads if they are boring or OT.
Only problem is with those lazy so-and-so's who, when composing a new message, hit reply and then change the subject. Guess what - your mailer *knows* it is a reply, and will include a "In-Reply-To:" (or whatever it is) header in your email, regardless of whether you change the title to something completely different. Yes, this is a pet peeve of mine. One day I will gather a list of culprits and [rest of sentence deleted after I re-read it].
Cheers, Carl.
