Ah yes Yuri - you just reminded me of another reason that I have to stick to the gates os - the Watchtower library on CD that we use extensively (similar I guess to your Bible times program) does not run with Wine or crossover Office (well so far I haven't managed it - but I might succeed yet I think)- and that is a bit of a pain - but that is real life for you.

Q: What do you use Linux for? A: At home: Everything At work: Nothing At home we have a desktop and a laptop both running Mandrake 9.1, and an old box running IPCop 1.3 (just patched to update #8) The desktop is connected to an HP670C deskjet printer which is available to the laptop via CUPS. I use OOo's oocalc for GST returns for the farm and other spreadsheet stuff, and my wife and I both use OOo's oowriter. We use Mozilla for the web and Kmail for email. Julia has become very proficient with the KDE desktop and the apps she uses. I recently used kaboodle to watch some mpeg movies (thanks Craig F!) of a computer expo seminar. I also have a program called Bibletime, which has several translations of the Bible (no NIV due to copyright issues) and Bible commentaries with very good cross-referencing. I email pdfs produced by OOo whenever I need to send documents.
