Looking again at the trafficmultiplier site, it looks as if it works without there being any need for any evil code to be implanted in my system. So is there any need to worry?
Excluding the annoyance factor, there's no need to worry about various kinds of popups on your Linux browsers. If it bothers you, upgrade to something like Firefox that blocks popups.
