It was Wirth's second language, IIRC.  His languages, in order:
      * ALGOL-W
      * Pascal
      * PL/0 (A toy language for teaching)
      * Modula-2 (Modula was experimental variant of Pascal)
      * Oberon (Modula-3 was developed by DEC, not Wirth)
      * Oberon-0 (A toy language for teaching)
