Agreed, totally pointless if you can copy them from someone else's box ;) And as Nick pointed out, 8GB of iso - ouch! I can see a few options: make your own if you like to fiddle, copy from someone else, find a few mates and share the cost for a box, or install via ftp. Many years ago the suse media also contained samples of commercial programs which were technically not supposed to be redistributed. Also when the Americans were up themselves about (dirty word) encryption it wouldn't have been legal to put the international suse version on a US server.
