Hi,
After I uninstalled OpenOffice (and installed the latest release 1.1.1r3,
which seems to work much faster than the last one) the bash prompt on my
user terminal screen has reverted to displaying "bash-2.05b$" instead of
"[EMAIL PROTECTED] yyyy']#" and also I have lost the use of user defined
aliases.
If I su and become root the prompt is the normal [EMAIL PROTECTED] yyyy]# and
the aliases work. There is so much about Bash in the manual but nothing I
can see that helps here.
I would appreciate help in getting things back to normal, please. John.
