That may be the claim, but there were 3 people in the #gentoo irc channel 
yesterday, who could not install successfully from the CDs only, and it 
corresponds with my experience only last week.

btw, please don't put message info below the '--' in a message. This is the 
marker which separates the body from the signature. Many if not most mail 
user agents remove the signature part of a message when you make a reply.
