ahh yes, part of redhat network. Thanks for that, my memory is not what

synaptic works over any apt- typr repostory IIRC. It started life in the
same place as apt, with debian.

Nice to see the folks at redhat/fedora adopting another tool (apt), an
acceptance of someone elses product over your own can be a bitter pill
to swallow.
