I am not a big Open Source advocate, so I would not be interested. If it
was to discuss Free Software, then maybe. I do not see MS freeing the
code, so there is not much point in having a discussion.

Generally, I am happy to leave MS alone, as it does not have a direct
impact on me. GNOME is following its own usability and feature path.
Emacs remains the best editor in existence. Firefox continues to improve
with every release. Evolution may be inspired by Microsoft products, but
I have never used them, so I get no advantage from the external
consistency. Mono may be fun, but I have never been a big fan of virtual
machines.

Sure, I get [CENSORED] off when people reduce the [CENSORED] font sizes
on Web pages because the [CENSORED] at MS insist in making the
[CENSORED] text on Windows appear 20% too big. At times I scream and
shout at the [CENSORED] who tried to create a Web page but are too
[CENSORED] to follow a fairly [CENSORED] basic standard. But after my
bellows reverberate off the thin walls of the lab I calm down and I
trust that, given enough time, things will sort themselves out. Web
pages that have text that is 20% too small is the sum total direct
influence that Microsoft has on my daily computing experiences, and I
doubt that any meeting with Microsoft would resolve that problem.

If a meeting does take place, I do hope that someone posts a report, as
I would be interested in knowing what happens :)
