1st Q for the day is: if the Gentoo kernel was compiled using Suse's 2.4.x, can it be correct for booting 2.6.5-gentoo?
Won't it be compiled wrong?
Unguided, I would be recompiling after booting & chrooting from the LiveCD instead of from Suse.
