Funny thing is, I've used Linux as my main OS for so long now, that I have the exact same complaint when using MS products.
It's even worse when I can't seem to figure out "simple" things in MS, because MS is much more common. And then there's the line i get that goes like "You've got a PhD in computer science and you can't sort <foo> out with my computer? What were you doing for all those years then?"
