Yeah I am - I had to re-subscribe to send my farewell ;(

Don't be sad in my case Nick - I have been thinking for some time that I should do
this - trouble is it is a bit addictive and I have a tendency to check the listings
when I should be working, just trying to sort my life out a bit is all - prioritise
and so forth.

I have nothing against the volume of traffic per se and even commented as such
recently - but I hope that I will be able to pick and choose a little more by looking
at the archive. I use the Orcon web interface and it dosn't seem to have all the
fancy tools for following threads etc - wheras in the archive I can sort by thread or
date or whatever. if I have something come up that I need some feedback on I will
just have to resubscribe temporarily.

So I guess it was aurevoir and not goodbye after all :)

Lance

PS - sorry - Nick - I know I sent this to you already - meant to reply to the list not
to you - got caught in my haste.

I note some mention of journaled (daily) version of the list in ongoing discussion, I
for one would be interested in this - it has worked well for me with lists such as the
Knoppix one and a couple of others I have looked at.

This is interesting and a little sad. One of Don's justifications for
persistently asking questions which some people found annoying was to
keep the list traffic up, so people could see something happening.

Ironically here is a subscriber who has unsubbed because of too much
traffic.

See you and thanks for your contributions Lance (if you are still
listening)
